Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. In her early years she attended the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma had a dream to become a professional actor from the age of at the age of six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute which offers classes for part-time students. When she was 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was found by agents via her Oxford teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that after eight consecutive auditions, she and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's film debut was made with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The movie set records for opening day and weekend sales, and it was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Reviewers praised the film, particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma's performance was nominated and was awarded five awards for the film.
