Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, along with all dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to sing and play music in the early years with her mother. The formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She is involved with many local organizations in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
